The Colony Park Plaza Kempenski Resort and Spa is located in the town, 180 kilometers from the international airport in Montevideo, and just 45 minutes drive from Buenos Aires. This resort is nestled on 8,000 square meters of gardens by the Rio del la Plata. The town of Colonia de Sacramento was itself declared a Mankind Heritage Site by UNESCO. Opened in November 2003, the resort features healthy gastronomic offerings, a Brazilian recreational staff and a spa employing leading therapeutic technologies, including Reiki massages, wet and dry saunas and other treatments.
