This elegant 1915 Georgian Colonial home sits on a peaceful hill in Seattle's University district. The Chambered Nautilus Inn is located a mere ten minutes from the downtown attractions and a short walk from the University of Washington campus. A gently sloping staircase welcomes guests from the street level up to the gardens and into the antique-filled entryway. Each morning begins with a full breakfast, featuring fresh fruit, juice, homemade granola and entrees, including Northwest breakfast pie and rosemary buttermilk muffins or the often-requested stuffed French toast with homemade orange syrup and, of course, plenty of fresh-roasted Seattle coffee. Sip tea by the fire in the living room, eat fresh-baked cookies on the sun porch, or relax with a book from the inn's well-stocked shelves. One dog per room is allowed for a fee of $10 per night in a limited number of rooms.<br><br>
All guest rooms are furnished with antiques and for your convenience, all feature private baths and private telephones with modem/data port. Soft cozy bathrobes, bottled water, luxurious down comforters, TV, hair dryer, iron/ironing board, and a resident Teddy bear welcome you to each room. Some rooms also offer porches, many of which overlook the gardens and the mountains, and their own private fireplace. |

With old and new attractions clustered together, walking is both a popular and easy way to explore. A must-see for the first time visitor is the Seattle Center, home to the 605-foot Space Needle. Pike Place Market overflows with flowers, food stands, and craft shops. Visitors who love nightlife can hit six top nightclubs in Pioneer Square for one admission price. Day excursions to Mount Rainier, the San Juan Islands, Vancouver, Victoria, and British Columbia are popular. Guests can also rent canoes on nearby Lake Washington or kayaks on Lake Union. |

5005 22nd Ave NE, Seattle, WA - From Seattle/Tacoma International Airport: Start out going East on South 156th Street toward Air Cargo Road. Turn right onto Air Cargo Road. Turn left onto South 160th Street. Turn left onto International Boulevard/Tukwila International Boulevard/Pacific Highway South. Merge onto WA-518 East toward I-405/Renton/I-5. Merge onto I-5 North via the exit on the left, toward Seattle and continue for 15 miles. Take Exit 169 toward Northeast 45th Street/University of Washington. Stay straight to go onto 7th Avenue Northeast. Turn right onto Northeast 45th Street. Turn left onto 20th Avenue Northeast. Turn right onto Northeast 47th Street. Turn right onto 21st Place Northeast. Turn a sharp left onto 22nd Avenue Northeast and continue for 1/10 mile to the property. |
