Originally purchased from a 1920's era Sears & Roebuck catalog, the beautifully restored bed and breakfast sits in the heart of the Long Beach Peninsula. On the edge of Ocean Park and just within the boundaries of Nachotta, the inn overlooks Willapa Bay and the Wildlife Refuge of Long Island. Spend your afternoons on the back deck watching the koi and goldfish swimming in the pond or watch the many varieties of wild birds that eat at the feeders that fill the yard. Read a magazine in one of the hammocks or just take a nap. In the evening, you may enjoy roasting marshmallows over the fire pit in the backyard. Walk a short distance into the center of Nachotta and purchase fresh oysters to grill for your dinner. On a clear night, go stargazing through our telescope.<br>
As you enter the inn, imagine yourself falling asleep in one of the guest rooms under a down comforter while the moon rises over Willapa Bay. See yourself enjoying a game of chess in front of the fireplace or reading a book in the quiet and solitude of the sunroom. Breakfast is served in the dining room where you can view Willapa Bay and watch wild birds eat from feeders. | Area Attractions
Seven miles to the North you will find Ledbetter Point (another wildlife refuge), home to bear, deer and many varieties of birds. Hiking trails lead to the ocean beach and the bay. Easily within biking distance is historic Oysterville. The Oysterville schoolhouse still stands and is the site of our yearly Jazz and Oyster Festival. Many weddings and Sunday vespers are held in the beautifully preserved Oysterville church. Your days will be full. Bring your bike and tour the Peninsula, bring your kayak for a day trip to Long Island. Bring your camera and borrow one of our birding books to enjoy the birds. Hike to Cape Disappointment or North Head Lighthouse. Tour the newly renovated Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center or Fort Canby. Visit our World Kite museum were they frequently have kite-making classes. The Port of Ilwaco has fishing vessels available for charter. Watch for whales as they migrate past the 28 miles of beach in the spring and fall. Go beachcombing for treasures or borrow one of Curt's kites to fly. Shopping, dining, horseback riding, museums, and theme attractions are also all very close in vicinity. |

26205 Sandridge Road, Ocean Park, WA - Kelso Longview Airport, Kelso, WA: Depart airport heading Southwest on South Pacific Avenue. Turn sharp right onto Colorado Street. Colorado Street becomes Talley Way. Turn left onto ramp, then merge onto WA-432 West/Tennant Way. Turn left onto Oregon Way/WA-433. Merge onto US-30 West/Lower Columbia River Highway. Turn slight right onto Marine Drive/US-30 West/Lower Columbia River Highway. Turn right onto Oregon Coast Highway/Astoria Bridge/US-101. Turn right to stay on US-101. Turn right onto Peninsula Highway/Sandridge Road, and continue until property. |
