One- half mile from the hotel is the Pentagon. Arlington Cemetery is two miles from the hotel. The Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam Memorial and the U.S. Capitol are four miles away.

At night, the Manager's Reception greets guests with complimentary cocktails. The Smithsonian Information Center located in the Institution's first building, known as the Castle, is open daily to assist those visiting the Institution's 16 museums and National Zoo in Washington, D.C. This distinctive red, sandstone building is on the National Mall, and may be entered from either Jefferson Drive on the north or through the Enid A. Haupt Garden on the south.
