While staying at the Deer Brook Inn, guests will be close to Woodstock's historic homes, covered bridges, fine art galleries, shops and restaurants. The inn is centrally located between the Killington ski area and Dartmouth College. In the winter guests can ski, snowmobile and snowshoe, or just sit back and relax on a horse-drawn sleigh ride. Spring and summer bring a new face to the area as the Green Mountain Horse Association trails come to life. The mountains, streams and lakes provide opportunities for hiking, fishing, swimming, canoeing and biking.<br> This renovated 1820's farmhouse is a haven of hospitality and comfort, surrounded by five acres of lawns, woods and gardens. The rooms have their original pine floors and are furnished with antiques.<br><br> The comfortable living room offers guests a place to relax in front of the fireplace and watch cable television. A complimentary generous candlelit breakfast is provided each morning, including fresh fruit, home-baked goods and a hot entree.<br><br> This service-oriented inn offers five intimate guest accommodations. The main floor suite and four upstairs rooms feature full private baths, antique furnishings, original artwork, wide honey pine floors, and handmade quilts. The first-floor suite also has a private sitting room with a sofa sleeper, wing chair, cable television with VCR, and refrigerator.
