This circa 1800's Historic Register New England Farmhouse, perched at 2000 feet amid 120 acres, overlooks the tiny hamlet of Shrewsbury. Guests will be surrounded by the awe inspiring setting with spectacular panoramic views, a rolling tapestry of the Green Mountains and brilliantly colorful sunsets at dusk. The Inn has been totally renovated to high standards by superb local artisans. The classic country style and warm décor create a blend of comfort and charm in elegant style. In spring and summer, guests might meander about the vegetable, herb and flower gardens savoring the fresh aromas. The foliage spectacle with its breathtaking colors beckons one in autumn. In the winter, Crisanver House glows from within amidst a winter wonderland. The outdoor swimming pool provides a summer haven for relaxation with its magnificent mountain views and ping-pong, bumper pool, darts, a 30-inch TV, VCR and stereo system are available in the recreation room. Tennis, bocce and shuffleboard are all available on-site. Massages and Yoga can be arranged on-site for an additional fee. Workshops in quilting, rug hooking, painting and cooking are offered. A gourmet breakfast is served every morning, an afternoon tea is served and dinner is available by reservation.
This establishment offers six guest rooms and three suites. Each is named after a mountain peak viewed from the Inn and is appointed in individual charming country elegance. The Inn features queen and twin beds with private bath in the main house. | Area Attractions
Situated in one of Vermont's most delightful areas, central to historic places, a short drive to great shopping amid cultural events and a multitude of year-round sports activities, is Crisanver House. The Appalachian and Long Trails provide excellent hiking, rock climbing and hot air ballooning. Just 30 minutes from Crisanver, shoppers will find many fine factory stores and outlets in Manchester. Interesting and historic daytrips include places like Bennington Monument, Calvin Coolidge's birthplace, Shelburne Museum, Grandma Moses Museum, Queeche Gorge, Hubbarton Battlefield and Maxwell Parrish Museum. During the summer visitors can choose from six area golf courses, canoeing, horseback riding, summer theater and concerts, craft fairs and farmers markets and art galleries. Winter brings skiing and snowboarding at Killington/Okemo/Pico resorts, ice skating, snowmobiling and evening gondola rides. |

1434 Crown Point Road, Shrewsbury, VT - From Rutland Airport: At airport exit turn right onto Airport Rd. At Rte 103 turn right and follow past the railroad tracks. At the top of the hill, turn left onto Lincoln Hill Rd. Lincoln Hill Rd runs through Shrewsbury. The Town hall is on the left and Maple Crest farm is on the right. Crown Point is the second right after Maple Crest (note Crisanver sign). Turn right and Crisanver is the second house on the left. |
