The Golden Stage Inn Bed & Breakfast offered travelers bed and board before Vermont became a state in 1791. Today, the New England Inn reflects over 200 years of history in its eight guest rooms and one suite. Truly a four- season inn, the Golden Stage is located in the Okemo Valley amidst year round outdoor recreation and holiday travel opportunities. The Inn's 8 acres offer a rambling, "growed like topsy" structure, lush summer gardens and orchards, full sized swimming pool, and even a gurgling brook. Birds perch jauntily in the birches waiting their turn at one of the many feeders. Butterflies drift lazily among the flowers. In winter, deer and moose check the knoll for morsels. The wood-burning fireplace sets a welcoming tone to an antique filled living room. Guests are invited to play the piano or, relax and read a book from the library shelves in the bay window area. Enjoy a glass of wine or beer as you kick back and relax in the cozy, comfortable setting of the fireside room. Keep up with the latest weather, news or movies on cable TV.
All rooms feature central heating and air conditioning, and most also have private baths and cable TV. Some have shared baths. One guestroom and all public rooms are accessible to those with physical challenges.<br><br> **There is a two-night minimum stay for all Friday and Saturday arrivals between 8/1/05- 12/30/06, for the Standard Private bathroom and the Suite.** |

| Area Attractions
The Okemo family ski area is a year-round vacation spot. Besides skiing and snowboarding there is fishing, canoeing, hiking, gardens, and much more. Around the area there are also a variety of golf courses, covered bridges, scenic bike routes, art galleries, antique shops and more. The President Calvin Coolidge Historic site is nearby, as is Woodstock, the renowned Weston Playhouse, and the Weston Priory. |

399 Depot Street, Proctersville, VT - Rutland State Airport: Depart airport going southeast on Airport Road toward River Road/Gorge Road. Turn slightly right onto VT-103, and follow for 21.5 miles. Turn left onto Depot Street, and continue to the property. |
