Cavendish Inn is located on Scenic Highway 131, one of only three scenic highways in Vermont. It is located on the Black River, one of the most popular spots for trout fishing in the area. There is a complimentary breakfast served every morning and coffee is available at the coffee shop throughout the day. Have a picnic on the patio or out in the front lawn, cozy up to the fireplace during those cold nights, or get comfortable with a book in the library. The inn also has air-conditioning, an activity desk, wireless Internet access, and a gift shop for souvenirs. The inn is a totally smoke-free environment.<p> All guests must contact 802-226-7080 immediately after booking the reservations to receive the number to call for check-in instructions, etc. <br><br> **Early check in is available for $20. Late check out is available for $20. Check in after 9 PM is $20. No outside alcohol can be brought onto the premises of the property.**<br><br>
There are nine guest chambers, tastefully decorated with modernized luxury bathrooms. Each room has its own individual charm and style. Every room includes an alarm clock radio, hair dryer, high-speed Internet access, and complimentary coffee. Extra towels are available as well as hypo-allergenic bedding. Room 1 and Room 2 share a bathroom in the hallway. Room 1 contains a double bed, and Room 2 is a small room with day bed and pull-out trundle bed. Rooms 3, 8 and 10 have private baths. Both Rooms 3 and 8 have queen beds. Room 10 also has a pull-out sofa bed in addition to a four-poster queen bed. Two twin beds can be added to Room 10 on request.<p> **This property requires a two-night minimum stay for arrivals between 9/23/05-10/23/05, 12/23/05-1/2/06, and 11/22/05-11/28/05. | Area Attractions
The inn is located minutes from many activities that can enhance any trip. Although the area is known mostly for skiing, there are many activities to be found in the area: snowshoeing, sledding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, sleigh rides. And that is only in the winter. In the summer, there is horseback riding, hiking on the Appalachian Trail or other trails in the area, swimming, tennis, golf, bicycling, farmer's markets, summer theater, outdoor concerts, craft fairs, antique shops, and much more. Also visit Okemo Mountain, the historic villages of Woodstock, Weston, Manchester, and shopping at antique shops. Enjoy bird-watching or star gazing at night. Take a stroll along the babbling brook or relax in the manicured park-like gardens at the inn. |

Take a right onto Route 131 east. Follow for approximately three miles. Cavendish Inn is located in the Glimmer Stone building on the left. |
