As you enter the grounds of this circa 1902 cotton plantation, you'll find yourself under a canopy of majestic walnut trees. Take a stroll under century-old oaks surrounded by lush landscaping, pick fresh fruit from a bountiful variety of trees or enjoy a favorite beverage on the East or West sun porches. As you do, you will find yourself listening to the wind as it whispers of days gone by, and you won't be disappointed. Reminiscent of the grand plantations of yesteryear, Walnut Lane Inn stands as a beacon of the past, on seven lush acres of mature gardens and landscaping. As you wile away the hours of the evening, sit and relax with your favorite beverage or take tea in the front parlor. A complimentary dessert is always a true delight, especially when enjoyed over conversation with other guests on one of the covered side porches.
The inn offers six tastefully decorated rooms, each with a private bath, CD player, alarm/clock radio, hair dryer, period antiques, air conditioning and cable TV. Ironing boards and irons are also available upon request. |

| Area Attractions
There is plenty to do in the greater Lyman area. Nearby to the inn is the BI-LO Center, the Peace Center, Palmetto Expo Center and the Little Warehouse Theaters. During the day you can tour the world-renowned Bob Jones University Museum in Greenville, the BMW plant in Greer and the Botanical Gardens at Clemson University. The Greenville area has a large retail community, anchored by three major shopping malls. Spartanburg also boasts of a beautiful garden that is open to the public. Wofford College and Converse College are tucked away in downtown Spartanburg. Furman University is only a short drive and you can easily reach Clemson University. Also, with Asheville NC and the Blue Ridge Mountains only minutes away, spend the day exploring and sightseeing. |

110 Ridge Road, Lyman, SC - Greenville/Spartanburg International Airport: Depart the airport heading south on GSP Drive and continue onto Aviation Drive. Merge onto I-85 North toward Spartanburg. Take the SC-290 exit, Exit 63, toward Duncan/Moore. Turn left onto East Main Street/SC-290 West. Turn right onto North Danzler Road, which becomes Groce Road. Turn right onto Church Street. Turn left onto Ridge Road, and continue until you reach the property. |
