Location. Under the Greenwood Tree is a bed and breakfast in Medford, Oregon. Taking its name from the 300-year-old oak trees that shade the front yard, the Civil War-era farmstead sits on 10 acres of land on the west side of Medford. The area is best known to sporting types and eco-tourists who enjoy the thriving natural beauty of the area and the limitless recreational possibilities. Numerous clear-water rivers allow for picturesque rafting and fishing excursions. The inn is centrally located in southern Oregon's live theater district which hosts several indoor and outdoor theaters and a number of annual festivals. Nearby attractions include the Rogue River, the Oregon Caves National Monument, redwoods and beaches. Popular activities include hiking, biking, tennis, golf and winery tours.
Hotel Features. Beautiful spring flowers line the front walk and majestic oaks occupy the front lawn. The property is great for special occasions such as honeymoons, anniversaries and reunions. Antiquated buildings and farm equipment dot the expansive grounds and add to the rural ambience. Many animals frolic about the property, including llamas, a rabbit named Harvey and the resident white barn owl. The house is decorated with fine art, antiques and Tibetan rugs. Each day the innkeepers provide breakfast and afternoon tea. Other on-site amenities include a pond, a furnished redwood deck and a gazebo shrouded in roses and honeysuckle.

Guestrooms. Each of the guestrooms features comfortable furnishings and a private bath.

Expert Tip. Visit in the springtime and catch the colorful wildflower displays at Table Rocks. Just a few miles northeast of Medford, these unique mesas create a variety of habitats that support a diverse array of flora.
