<b>Location.</b>Nestled on 100 acres in the Northern Catskill Mountains, the Bavarian Manor Country Inn is located in Purling, N.Y., 40 miles southwest of Albany. Scenic drives, antiquing and hiking are popular activities for visitors to this area. There are ten golf courses within a twenty-five minute drive. During the winter months, downhill skiing is available at either Windham or Hunter Mountain, each less than a fifteen-mile drive from the bed and breakfast. <br><b>Hotel Features.</b> The Bavarian Manor Country Inn, a four-story, Victorian-style inn, has been welcoming guests since 1865. It overlooks a six-acre private lake. The inn has it's own restaurant with cocktail lounge, featuring accents such as a fireplace, big screen television, easy chairs, and a coffee table with board games. A full, complimentary breakfast is served each morning. Dinner is available upon request. This bed and breakfast offers free local calls and business services. There are no room charges for children 7 and younger When staying in the same room as their parents or Guardians and using existing bedding. <br><br><b>Guestrooms.</b> The guestrooms at the Bavarian Manor Country Inn each have their own personality, with a wide range of colors and décor. All rooms have air conditioning, cable television, and smoke detectors. Amenities found in some rooms include a fireplace, whirlpool bath, refrigerator and DVD player.<br><br><b>Expert Tip.</b> The lake on site has huge bass and catfish. If guests are quiet and lucky, they might see "Big Mama," a snapping turtle which, according to the innkeepers, is as "big as a tire."
A fee will be assessed for guests under the age of seven if bedding needs to be set up. Fees are determined by the hotel and subject to change. |
