Ruah is located on the northern end of Lake George where the simple pleasures are paramount. The stately home was built by Harry Waltrous in 1900. The inn has large, bright common rooms with massive windows that bring "The Queen of the Lakes" and the surrounding Adirondack Mountains into every room. The living room is very large with several sitting areas and a magnificent fieldstone fireplace. Some of the original antiques and paintings still furnish the house. The marvelous antique grand piano sits in the living room waiting for guests to sit and play. The grand dining room features a coffer ceiling and large bay windows facing south and east. Breakfast can be enjoyed in either the dining room or on the veranda. The dining room is also suitable for small meetings or gatherings
The bedrooms are oversized and elegantly appointed. All have private baths, climate control, air-conditioning, bathrobes, fireplaces and access to the balcony that spans across the front of the house with breathtaking panoramic views of Lake George, The Waltonian Islands and the Adirondack Mountains.<br><br> **This property requires a two-night minimum stay for all Friday and Saturday arrivals.** |

| Area Attractions
The Ruah is located on crystal-clear Lake George, where activities include swimming and water sports, boating, canoeing, sailing, fishing or just watching the Northern Lake George Yacht Club races from the front porch of the inn. This area is filled with other adventures for the outdoors enthusiast as well, including island-picnicking, mountain climbing, golf, horseback riding, white water rafting, hiking, biking, hunting and much more, and that's just what to do in the warm season. Winter brings skiers (cross-country and downhill), snowmobiling, ice-skating, ice fishing and the area's Winter Carnival. While you're here you can visit Fort Ticonderoga and other local historic sites, or get some shopping done at one of the nearby outlet centers. Hague truly is a four seasons area. |

9221 Lake Shore Drive, Hague, NY - From Rutland State Airport: Depart airport going northwest and turn onto VT-103. Turn slightly right onto US-7 North and continue for 2.7 miles. Turn left onto US-4 West and continue for 25.2 miles. Turn slight right onto Broadway/NY-22 and continue for 24.8 miles. Turn left onto Montcalm Street and continue. Montcalm Street becomes NY-9 North, which you will continue to follow until you reach the property. |
