<b>Location.</b> Between Lake George and Saratoga Springs in the southern Adirondack Park Preserve is the Saratoga Rose Inn & Restaurant, located in Hadley, N.Y. This Victorian bed and breakfast sits on a rural hilltop at the convergence of the Hudson River and the Sacandaga River, where guests can whitewater raft, canoe and kayak. Lake Luzerne, just a half-mile away, offers horseback riding, hot air balloon rides, and other outdoor adventures.<br><b>Hotel Features.</b> This 1885 Queen Anne Victorian home became a bed and breakfast in 1988. A sweeping veranda, spiraling tower and original stained glass windows complement the cheery yellow exterior. Formal gardens are adorned with shaded benches amid ferns, flowering shrubs, two koi ponds and a gazebo. The gardens have been the setting for many Saratoga weddings. The Inn's restaurant, offering contemporary cuisine, is open to guests and the general public, and seats 90 people in the four dining rooms. During the warmer months service is offered on the lantern-lit veranda. A complimentary full breakfast is served daily.<br><br><b>Guestrooms.</b> The Saratoga Rose Inn & Restaurant has a total of six guestrooms, with four Victorian-style rooms located in the mansion and two rustic, log cabin-style rooms in the adjacent carriage house. All guestrooms are equipped with fireplaces and have private bathrooms. Some rooms have private indoor or outdoor hot tubs. Additional amenities include complimentary wireless WiFi Internet access and private decks.<br><br><b>Expert Tip.</b> The Painted Pony Championship Rodeo, located in neighboring Lake Luzerne, offers western barbecue chicken and ribs and a rodeo show every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday night from Independence Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.

4136 Rockwell Street, Hadley, N.Y.<br> From Albany International Airport:<br> Depart airport going southeast on CR-151/Peter J Delasandro Blvd/Albany Shaker Rd.<br> Merge onto I-87 N via the ramp on the left.<br> Take the Ballard Rd exit (Exit 16) toward Wilton/Corinth.<br> Turn left onto CR-33/Ballard Rd and continue to follow CR-33, which will become CR-101.<br> CR-101 then becomes CR-24/Spier Falls Rd.<br> Turn left onto CR-25/Spier Falls Rd.<br> Stay straight to go onto Main St.<br> Main St becomes NY-9N.<br> Turn left onto Bay Rd/CR-16.<br> Turn left onto Bridge St/CR-44, and follow it until it becomes CR-4/Rockwell St.<br> Follow to the property. |
