Tucked away on the Silver Maple Farm in the foothills of the Berkshires, in the heart of New York's Hudson Valley, is a splendid country inn that invites guests to relax, unwind, and enjoy a very special place. They offer a choice of eleven tastefully decorated guest rooms with all the simple comforts of a first class retreat that includes comfortable beds, beautiful linens and down comforters, pine floors and custom made cupboards, antique trunks, and hand painted murals. The gourmet breakfast that is served keeps bringing guests back seasons-round. In the afternoon, enjoy the comforts of tea, cookies, beverages, and light snacks. This lovely accommodation is a beautifully converted post and beam barn that has shaker-inspired furnishings and a great room that is used for socialization or used for relaxation. Guests can choose to relax near the glowing fireplace or outside on the sundeck with a good book. On a rainy day, mingle in the common sitting room or grab a book from the library and read it on the couch. On a breezy summer day, stroll through the gardens for some fresh air or head to the lake/ocean and walk barefoot in the sand. Located at the inn are business services, free local calls, and free parking available for all guests.
All the guest rooms have custom-made cupboards, hand painted murals, and private baths with large walk in showers or full bath and shower. The spacious suites offer exceptional privacy with fireplaces, large baths with soaking tub for two, and separate showers. | Area Attractions
There are so many things to do nearby. Tanglewood is a short scenic drive. Columbia County has over 100 antique shops; it is also the home of the Shakers, with historical sites and the Shaker museum close by. Gardens, hiking, skiing, tennis, and auctions are other local attractions. In the summer visitors can pick strawberries and blueberries, go canoeing, or swim in nearby Queechy Lake. In the fall there is apple picking and the incredible foliage. All year round visitors can bike, visit art galleries, delight in the many fine restaurants, or enjoy music at one of many venues. |

| Driving Directions
1871 Route 295, East Chatham, NY - From Albany Airport: Exit airport by turning left. Follow signs to 87 south to 90 east towards Albany/Boston. Take 90 east until it ends. Pick up ticket at toll and continue east towards Boston for about nine miles to Exit B-2, Taconic Parkway. Immediately after toll, take the first right turn where is says commercial traffic. Follow signs to Route 295. Turn left on 295 east for 4.5 miles. The inn will be on the left. |
