At Pig Hill, the hosts have raised self-indulgence to a fine art. They believe that guests can have their cake and eat it too. In fact, guests can have their apple crumb cake in bed, along with the rest of their farm fresh breakfast, and take the recipe with them. The Pig Hill Inn takes the term bed and breakfast quite literally, so guests can snuggle down into one of the quilt-covered four posters with the Times (delivered with breakfast, of course) or curl up by their own fireplace for a morning repast. If guests are feeling more sociable, they can enjoy their breakfast in the Victorian Conservatory or in the terraced garden. Whether a guest's preference is light and continental or full and hearty, it is the inn's pleasure to make sure that guests are absolutely satisfied. And if they've fallen in love with that painted rocker in their room and they simply must have it, they can. Antiques from Chippendale to Chinoiserie complete the decors of each of the inn's nine rooms.<br><br>
Take delight in knowing that the rooms at the Pig Hill Inn were decorated with the guests' needs in mind. After a long day, come back to a quiet and peaceful room to relax and gather your energy for the next day. Each unique rooms comes with air conditioning, alarm clock radio, ceiling fan, climate control, desk, iron/ironing board, and smoke detectors. Guests can relax in their room with a cup of complimentary coffee and, in most rooms, they can have themselves a hot supper by using the stove. Some rooms even come with a fireplace where guests can unwind and watch the sparks jumping from the glowing fire. Located in the heart of the historic village of Cold Spring, Pig Hill is a short walk to the train station for trips to New York City, which are one hour away. Cold Spring and the surrounding communities offer many excellent restaurants, regional theater, and dozens of craft, gift, and antique shops. Historic sites, such as Boscobel and Vanderbilt mansions, and the West Point Military Academy are close by. 73 Main Street, Cold Spring, NY - From Stewart International Airport: Start out going southwest on 1st Street towards Circulation Drive. Turn right onto Circulation Drive, which becomes Breung Road. Turn left onto Little Britain Road/NY 207. Turn left onto NY-300, which is Union Avenue. Merge onto I-84 towards Beacon (portions toll). Take the Route 9D exit, #11, and head towards Beacon/Wappinger Falls. Turn right onto NY-9D/NY-52 BR/North Road. Continue to follow NY-9D. Turn right onto Main Street. |
