Located in the small, quiet village of Candor, The Edge of Thyme Bed & Breakfast was originally built as a summer home for John D. Rockefeller's private secretary. Visit this turn-of-the-century Georgian home and enjoy its leaded glass windowed porch, marble fireplaces, period sitting rooms, beautiful stairway, gardens, pergola and gracious atmosphere. A full breakfast, as enjoyed at the turn of the century, is served in a genteel manner. All of the pastries and breads are made on the premises.
Each well-appointed guest room features air-conditioning, radio/alarm clock, fluffy bathrobes, executive desk, hair dryer, and an iron with ironing board. |

| Area Attractions
Candor is located centrally in the Finger Lakes region. It is a short drive to Cornell University and Ithaca College. A drive to Watkins Glen, Corning, Elmira's Mark Twain country, Binghamton, and Cooperstown can be exciting as well as visits to the many wonderful wineries and New York State Parks. |

6 Main Street, Candor, NY - From Tompkins County Airport: Depart the airport heading South and turn right onto NY-13 South and continue for 4.8 miles. Make a sharp left turn onto West Clinton Street/NY-96B South and continue to follow NY-96B for 19.5 miles. Turn right onto NY-96/Main Street and continue until you reach the property. |
