Stay at this comfortable log home that is surrounded by trees and farmlands. This quiet, romantic getaway is perfect for guests that want to enjoy nature and have the benefits of a house. There are many recreational activities in the area and on the property of the manor. The manor is surrounded by 100 acres of land which includes a small pond that is stocked with wide mouth bass, hiking trails for the adventurous, and a variety of wildlife including turkey, deer, and coyotes. Hunting is permitted by licensed guests. Relax in the manor's sitting room that is full of books, games, puzzles, and magazines. The room also contains a guest refrigerator that is stocked with complimentary sodas and bottled water, a microwave, toaster, tea, mugs, dishes, spoons, and napkins. Ice is available in the main kitchen and guests can find ice buckets in their rooms. A full breakfast is served on the outside deck, weather permitting, or in the dining room by the fireplace, which is lit on winter mornings. The manor provides area maps and information for inquiring guests and they would be glad to arrange suggested itineraries for those guests.
Each room is elegantly decorated with its own unique style. Every room has air-conditioning, alarm clock, cable TV, VCR, & DVD player, desk, and a telephone. Rooms also have high speed Internet and a modem/data port. Guests can relax and unwind and feel satisfied in their rooms.<br><br> **This property is not suitable for children 5 and under.** **When traveling with children, please call ahead to see if accommodations can be made.** **A fee of $10/per person/per day will be applied to any reservation requiring more than two people. | Area Attractions
Guests can find plenty to do in the surrounding area. They can shop at gift stores and antique shops and visit many of the interesting museums such as, the Warplane museum, Soaring museum, and the Carriage museum. Take a murder mystery dinner train ride, architectural walking tour of historic homes, or go on a dinner cruise. For some outdoor activities, try fishing, golfing, hiking, and winter activities that include skiing, sledding, ice skating, snow shoeing, horse drawn sleigh rides, and tubing. In the warmer months, visit Niagara Falls or go on bicycle trips that lead to adventurous times. Take a hot air balloon ride or visit the theater for a good show. |

| Driving Directions
1289 SR 244, Alfred Station, NY - Rochester Airport: Take Exit 33 (Almond/Alfred) off of I-86/17. Turn right off the exit ramp and onto Karr Valley Road and continue to traffic light. At the light, turn right onto Route 21 south. Pass the Alfred Almond Central School (2.1 miles). Turn right at blinking yellow caution light which is JCT Route 244 (3.8 Miles). Continue past Dollar General, and a glass sided College Greenhouse. Bear right on Route 244 west towards Belmont and continue up the hill past the Alfred State College Farm Laboratory. The cabin is the next house on the left with a sign by the road. Please pull all the way down to the concrete pad. |
