Location. La Posada de Santa Fe Resort sits on six acres of landscaped grounds with fountains in Santa Fe, N.M. Guests are within two blocks of southwest cuisine, art galleries and distinct shops that line Canyon Road and the historic Plaza area. World-class opera, the Georgia O'Keefe Museum and Ski Santa Fe are all less than 18 miles from the hotel.
Hotel Features. The La Posada de Santa Fe Resort's centerpiece is the Staab House, a Victorian mansion built by an Old Santa Fe Trail merchant. Inside the resort, a colorful blend of cultures and traditions are woven into its distinctive décor. A cozy fireplace anchors the hotel lobby and a gift shop sells assorted sundries and southwestern souvenirs. A sparkling pool with poolside bar offers a getaway outdoors, while the Avanyu Spa, Santa Fe's only resort full-service spa, features nurturing pamper packages throughout the year.

Expert Tip. Within walking distance, the Loretto Chapel's miraculous staircase is surrounded by two mysteries: the identity of its builder and physics of the staircase construction. The staircase has two 360-degree turns, no visible means of support and was built without nails.
