This inn, built in 1880, is actually a mansion in a peaceful river town. It's quiet, private, and very intimate for any guests that stay. The mansion offers unique rooms which guests can find comforting and relaxing depending on their needs. Breakfast in bed or dinner in their suite, guests have the option of leaving their rooms at all while staying at the Thorwood Inn. The three course breakfast is an essential part of the guests stay, and fine dining in the parlor is a must. A never empty cookie jar, ice cream, juices and hot beverages all add to the home-like qualities that this inn helps portray. Afternoon tea and coffee, common library, fireplace, free local calls, ice machines, 24/Hr security, and a outdoor sundeck all help to enhance the mansions traits.
Guests can relax and feel welcome with any room that the inn has to offer. All the rooms come with air-conditioning, complimentary coffee, daily newspaper, desk, fireplace, hair dryer, Internet, and smoke detectors. Guests can also receive in-room massages, and intimate gourmet dinners with different packages. |

Visit the Alexis Bailly Vineyard, Carpenter Nature Center, historical downto attractions, places to bike, dining, and three different rivers, two lakes and bike trails that surround the inn. Visit the Steamboat Inn, a restaurant that has a spectacular view of the St. Croix River or visit the some of the museum's around to get an idea of the local history. There are also two major ski resorts, a winning winery, the Minnesota zoo, and the Mall of America close by. |

315 Pine Street, Hastings, MN- From Minneapolis St. Paul International: Take HWY 55 east to HWY 61 (Vermillion Street). Turn left onto HWY 61 and proceed north to 4th Street and make a left turn. Go five blocks to 4th and Pine Street. Thorwood faces Pine, and a sign hangs by the driveway. There is parking behind the inn. |
