Entering the hand painted foyer of the Nantucket Whaler returns guests to another era. Designed in the grand Greek revival style of 1850, this former home of a whaling captain is now a small, sophisticated inn, a unique treasure for those seeking privacy and undeniable luxury. When guests arrive at the Nantucket Whaler, they will be escorted through the garden to the private entrance of their elegant suite. In addition to the friendly service, they will appreciate the attention to detail and the devotion to their comfort. After waking up in to a sunny morning, relax on the outdoor sundeck while taking in the sun or reading a good book. For those guests that like to work out, head to the nearby fitness facility to revive and then relax back at the inn. Guests will find the inn is a relaxing and fun place to be.
All of the accommodations are gracious and generously sized. The One Bedroom Suites are decorated with a collection of Country, American and English furnishings. Enter the Suites through the privacy of a separate entrance from the deck or brick patio facing the beautifully manicured garden. Rooms have cable TV, VCR, compact disc and tape players, private telephone number and answering machine, cordless speaker phone, and alarm clock - no details have been overlooked. Books, video tapes, or compact discs may be chosen from our library or bring your own favorites. Each Suite includes a deluxe wet bar area with a refrigerator, instant hot water tap, coffee maker, microwave and toaster oven. Guests can indulge themselves with a late breakfast or afternoon cocktails, sitting in the quiet solitude of the peaceful surroundings. Upon request, a Lite Bite Breakfast basket can be placed in the suite on the arrival or during turn-down service for an extra fee. Step into the bedroom to find a luxurious mountain of plump pillows piled high atop a beautiful bed, dressed in fine linens and down comforter. As guests settle in, have a complimentary bottled water or coffee while leafing through the Nantucket Guide Book, local paper and area maps provided. Fluffy towels and Crabtree, and Evelyn soap and bath gel await guests, as well as plush terry bathrobes for use during the stay. Each room has a hair dryer, steam iron and ironing board. Beach towels will also be provided throughout your stay.<br><br> **This property is not suitable for children 10 and under. No breakfast is included. This property requires a two-night minimum stay for all Friday and Saturday arrivals between 5/22/05-6/14/05 and 9/28/05-4/14/06. A three-night minimum stay is required between 6/15/05-9/27/05.** |

As visitors venture outside on one of the few remaining cobblestone streets in the Historic District, they will find the location of the Nantucket Whaler to be superb. The Nantucket Whaler's charm is enhanced by its location next to the Whaling Museum and the Nantucket Yacht Club. Exploring the beautiful island of Nantucket will be a pleasure - the beaches, museums, and shops are all nearby. Rent bicycles, four-wheel drive vehicles, or mopeds a block or two away, and travel to any remote corner of this magical island. In the evening, take a stroll around the corner for dinner, choosing from the many fine restaurants Nantucket has to offer. |
