The beautifully restored 1831 Zachariah Eddy House is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and offers a charm and elegance of days gone by. The Zachariah Eddy House offers easy access to the many attractions of southern New England, including MBTA Commuter Rail service for hassle-free day trips to Boston. It is the perfect location for touring all of southern New England. Recognized for "Best Getaway Packages" in Arrington's Bed and Breakfast Journal's 2003 Book of Lists, the Eddy House offers over 50 different Getaway Packages throughout the year. Awaken to delicious aromas drifting upward and come down and enjoy the hearty New England Breakfast before setting out on a day's adventure. Breakfast will be one of the best memories that guests take with them when they leave. This bed and breakfast takes pride in featuring local products in season and fresh produce from its own gardens, in addition to home-baked breads and muffins. Guests will find the Cranberry Room a delight-decorated with antiques and set off by rich tones of cranberry and gold this room is warm and delightful. It gives a spectacular view of historic South Main Street. The Cranberry room has a spacious king sized bed with a high quality mattress. Lavinia's room is named after the world-renowned Mrs. Tom Thumb. Introduced to society by P.T. Barnum, she was presented before presidents, kings, and queens. This room features original memorabilia. An elegant four-poster carved queen sized bed is the highlight of this room. All rooms come equipped with air-conditioning, alarm clock, cable TV, and smoke detectors.
