The 1886 House is an authentic New England country farmhouse situated on five acres at the top of a high ridgeline in historic Chesterfield, just off scenic Route 9 & 143. They are only twelve miles from Northampton and eight miles from Look Park. The B&B is small and intimate; therefore they can provide individualized attention to every guests needs. A hearty breakfast is served each morning in the dining room and they will accommodate known dietary requirements. Breakfast is generally served between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM, but for those guests who want to sleep in, a later breakfast can be arranged. Enjoy coffee or tea on our back porch with its views of fields and woods, weather permitting. Guests are invited to relax in the entertainment room where satellite TV, DVD, CD player and VCR are available. The quiet reception room is the perfect place to relax with a book or discuss travel experiences and plans. The house has an extensive collection of books available to guests for browsing. Enjoy a cozy fire in the reception room in the winter and central air conditioning on a hot summer day.
Enjoy the large guest room that overlooks the front lawn and magnificent trees. Each room has air-conditioning, an alarm clock radio, ceiling fan, hair dryer, and smoke detectors. Enjoy a night wrapped up in the fluffy bathrobes that are in each room while watching cable/satellite TV. A coffeemaker complete with complimentary coffee is supplied as well as sweets at turndown. Guests will enjoy the inviting atmosphere of each room in this 1886 House.<br><br> **This property requires a two-night minimum stay for all Friday and Saturday arrivals between 5/1/05-5/31/05 and 10/1/05-10/31/05.** |

The popular "Pioneer Valley" is located in beautiful Western Massachusetts. The Valley offers a unique mix of the arts, attractions, fine dining and historic landmarks. It is home to the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, the newly opened Dr. Seuss National Memorial, William Cullen Bryant Homestead, Yankee Candle Co., Historic Deerfield, and much more. Here you will find places to go hiking, biking, golfing, rafting, skiing, snowmobiling, or shopping in the local antiques shops. In Chesterfield, visit the Bisbee Mill Museum, Ireland Street Orchards, and The Perfect Peanut Brittle Company for some interesting facts. Make sure to see the Butterfly Garden, the Bridge of Flowers, and the Chester Railroad Museum. Enjoy the summer sun while picking berries and apples from orchards around nearby towns. Visit the historical Dickinson Homestead or the William Cullen Bryant Homestead to learn about how those people lived. Make sure to pick up some antiques in Chesterfield or nearby town Huntington. |

| Driving Directions
202 East Street, Chesterfield, MA - From Hartford Airport: Take I-91 to exit 19 (Northampton) Northampton/Amherst Route 9. Stay in the middle lane on the ramp. Go straight across Route 9 for 3.4 miles (towards truck Route 9). The street is Damon Road and later becomes Bridge Road. You will go past a cemetery then past the Kennedy School on the right. Bridge Road dead ends into Route 9 West. Take 9 West for 5.1 miles to Route 143 west. Go past Look Park on the left and later Beaverbrook golf course will be on the right. |
