Location. The Bourbon Orleans, a Wyndham historical hotel, located in the center of the French Quarter on decadent Bourbon Street features classic Southern charm with styling reminiscent of the French opulence of the early 1800s. Guests staying here are only one block from the fortune tellers and street performers of Jackson Square, four blocks from the cafe au lait and beignets of Café Du Monde and four blocks from the riverfront gambling, dining and entertainment of the Mississippi River. The New Orleans International Airport is 14 miles from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Built in 1817 and renovated in 2004, this hotel exudes classic New Orleans style, with a trompe l'oeil lobby, columns painstakingly hand-painted to mimic marble, walls a mix of faux stucco and brick and ceilings resembling a Renaissance blue sky with darting angels. Guests can get away from the maddening crowds in a secluded courtyard pool surrounded by tables and potted palms. Guests can enjoy a full New Orleans- style breakfast buffet or dinner in the hotel's Paillard's Restaurant, or have a cocktail at Snook's Bar. Guests have complimentary access to a fitness center six blocks away at the Wyndham New Orleans.
