Location. The Ambassador Hotel in the center of downtown New Orleans' (La.) vibrant Warehouse Arts District is engulfed by boutiques, restaurants and art galleries. Guests are within walking distance of not only the festive atmosphere of the French Quarter, just four blocks away, but also the Riverwalk Marketplace which is three blocks from the property. Harrah's Casino is one block from the property and the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center is just thee blocks away. The Audubon Zoo is five miles away while the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is 13 miles from the hotel.
Hotel Features. Built as a 19th-century coffee warehouse, the Ambassador Hotel retains much of the original industrial essence, with floor-to-ceiling windowpane doors, ceiling timbers and a spacious lobby, walled with a mixture of worn stucco and exposed brick.
Fitness fanatics can receive discount passes at a health club seven blocks from the Ambassador Hotel. Business travelers can hold meetings with up to 100 people in the hotel's 2,500-square-foot banquet room.
