Property Info
The Judge Porter House is located in the heart of the National Historic Landmark District of Natchitoches, LA. The home was built in 1912 and is surrounded by gracious live oak trees planted by the original owners, "Judge" Thomas Fitzgerald Porter and his wife Wilhemenia. The architectural style of the house constitutes an eclectic mix of turn-of-the-century tastes. A two-story gallery wraps around the two sides of the home, suggesting a Queen Ann influence. Many of the windows surrounding this gallery measure more than eight feet in height and were once used as passageways to the porch. The home features high ceilings, five fireplaces and heart of pine floors original to the house. Colonial revival-style architecture is seen on the colossal columns that rest on brick pillars. Each morning guests awaken to a sumptuous candlelit, multi-course breakfast in the formal setting of the dining room. The table is set with fine china and stemware below the warm glow of a French-cut crystal chandelier. Spacious guest bedrooms are available, each with their own bath, phone, color TV and VCR. Many other amenities are offered such as cotton robes, Jacuzzi tubs, DSL Internet connections, complimentary wine and an assortment of beverages, along with a coffee/tea maker in each bedroom, and plenty of bedside chocolates. The deluxe bedroom contains a queen-size mahogany, full tester bed (Circa 1830). Large stately, red tapestry chairs allow you to feel as if you are holding court with Judge Porter himself. The room has a large, spacious bathroom with a two person Jacuzzi tub. The standard suite has a cozy fireplace in a spacious sitting area, which overlooks the lovely landscaped gardens. The suite has a full kitchen, dining space, full bath and walk-in closet. This is a romantic loft with a queen-sized bed.

**Guests planning on arriving outside normal business hours will have late check-in instructions waiting on the back of one of the front porch columns.**
**This property requires a two-night minimum stay for all Friday and Saturday arrivals.**
