This Queen Anne Victorian was built in the 1880's. Some adjustments have been made, but much of the home's architecture, such as the front doors, the turned balustrades, the gabled bay, and the cypress pocket doors in the dining room have remained intact throughout the years. Lounge the day away in the spacious Parlor Room or indulge in poetry, play the piano, or engage in a friendly game of chess, checkers, backgammon or cribbage in the Salon. If you prefer a little exercise, try your hand at croquet in the rear garden. Your stay at Maison Louisiane includes a full French-style gourmet breakfast elegantly served in the large formal dining room. Afterward, you can relax and enjoy coffee or tea on the beautiful front porch or upstairs on the front gallery or rear balcony. Wine and refreshments are located at the honor bar in the breezeway that overlooks the spacious rear garden. 332 Jefferson Street, Natchitoches, LA - From Alexandria International Airport: Depart airport going east on Billy Mitchell Drive and turn left onto England Drive. Turn slightly left onto Airbase Road, then merge onto I-49 North via the ramp on the left and continue for 47.5 miles. Take the LA-6 exit - EXIT 138 - toward Many/Natchitoches. Merge onto LA-6 North, and stay straight to go onto College Avenue/LA-6 BR North. Turn left onto LA-6 BR/Jefferson Street and continue until you reach the property. |
