This home was built at the turn of the century and has quarter sawn oak that fills the entry and first floor common rooms. Stained glass and leaded glass windows give a prism effect on sunny mornings during breakfast. Early morning coffee and flavored teas are served in the dining room at 7:30 a.m. Guests can enjoy the early morning hours on the porch swing, where they might catch a passing horse and buggy. A full breakfast is served in the dining room at 8:30 a.m. After breakfast, guests are welcome to mingle in the parlor or common rooms for chat or to read the daily newspaper. There are games and puzzles available to make those hot summer days even more enjoyable.
The whimsical décor mixed with appealing colors is what makes each room unique and homey. Whether a room is lavender and green or rose floral patterns, each room has a majestic atmosphere that makes guests never want to leave. Each room comes with air-conditioning, alarm clock radio, cable TV with VCR, ceiling fan, desk and smoke detectors. After a day's adventure, guests can curl up in the fluffy bathrobes provided by the inn, in most rooms, and watch TV until they fall asleep. |

| Area Attractions
Enjoy this country setting by talking a walk through the neighborhood for some fresh air and to see the area. A few minutes away from the inn is Dutch Village and Amish Acres where guests can shop and wander around learning interesting things about those heritages. One block from the inn is downtown and many antique shops and other specialty shops to wander through. Make sure to travel the 35 minutes to see the great Notre Dame and make sure to stop by Shipshewana to do some shopping. Guests can also make arrangements through the inn for theatre tickets or Amish country dinners with an Amish family by reservation. If guests like being outdoors, they can do such things as boating, fishing, golfing, miniature golfing, parasailing, and biking on trails. |
