Tryon Farm Guest House is an 1896 Victorian Farmhouse surrounded by 170 acre of prairies, woods, meadows, and ponds. Mature trees on the property cool th large wrap around front porch. All of the bedrooms, each with a full bath, have marble utility sinks that were once used by farmhands before setting ou to do the day's chores. These same hungry farmers would also visit the huge kitchen for a hearty breakfast. Guests will enjoy the same type of meals, complete with farm fresh eggs from the brick chicken coop located near the house. Three large parlors on the first floor provide guests plenty of room to gather with family and friends for a game of checkers and good conversation. During warm weather, guests may also use the new outdoor tree house shower or soak in the original house's galvanized tin tub under the stars of the rural Indiana sky. Guests will fall asleep listening to a symphony of frogs, and awake at daybreak to the sound of the rooster crowing After a hearty breakfast, explore the quaint outbuildings, climb the hayloft see the milking stations, feed the chickens and goats, and hike on the property for some simple enjoyment.
Guests will feel right at home in these delightful rooms. Most rooms have wonderful views of the farms property that guests will enjoy. After a long day of adventure, guests can come back to their rooms, unwind, and fall right to sleep with the crickets chirping outside their windows. All rooms have air-conditioning, alarm clock radio, ceiling fan, daily newspaper, and smoke detectors. Before heading to bed, curl up in the fluffy bathrobes provided by the farm and start to drift away. |

Spend the day sharing the timeless beauty of the countryside with friends and neighbors. Visitors can pick a fresh tomato from the garden and eat it warm or smell the freshly mown alfalfa as they lay on the hammock with a good book. Venture out fifteen minutes from the farm into rural LaPorte County for antique or outlet shopping. Visitors can try their luck at the casino or visit nearby Lake Michigan's shores for a fun filled afternoon. Visitors can also shop at nearby by outlet stores, spend some time outside hiking, biking or bird watching, or simply relax and watch time pass by. |

1400 Tryon Road, Michigan City, IN - From South Bend Airport: Exit on Lincoln Way. Turn right and merge onto US 31 towards I80/I90 toll road. Enter IND 80/90 towards Chicago. Exit at IN 39 to LaPorte. Turn right onto IN 39. Turn left onto HWY 20 and take that for five miles. Take HWY 212 slight right heading north. Turn onto Tryon Road, at the second flashing yellow light. |
