<b>Location.</b> Situated in the city of Taylorville, Ill., the Market Street Inn is sits in a charming downtown park district. Less than a mile from this bed and breakfast is Manners Park, a 62-acre tract with a lake, five playgrounds, baseball fields, basketball and tennis courts and swimming pool. Some of the best country music artists perform at the Nashville North USA venue just two miles away. Biking and hiking is available on local trails, and there are opportunities for boating, fishing and swimming at several lakes in the area.<br><b>Hotel Features.</b> The Market Street Inn is a Queen Anne Victorian home constructed in 1892 and lovingly preserved ever since. It features eight guestrooms and a wraparound porch with rockers. Bicycle rentals are available on site. Breakfast at the Market Street Inn includes an egg dish, breakfast meat, fruit, juice and coffee. The inn also serves afternoon tea/coffee, and has an evening reception. Additional on- site amenities include purified water, laundry facilities, ice machine and free local calls.<br><br> <b>Guestrooms.</b> The architectural lines of each guestroom feature gabled ceilings and beveled windows that are original to the house. All guestrooms have a private bath, bathrobes, cable television, CD player and Internet access. The third floor has a common area with a microwave and refrigerator for guests to use. Most rooms have a gas fireplace and whirlpool tub.<br><br> <b>Expert Tip.</b> Located in the heart of Lincolnland, Taylorville was the "last stop" on Abraham Lincoln's circuit as an attorney. He argued cases in the town's log court house.<br><br>
