The Steamboat House Bed and Breakfast showcases 22 rooms of architectural excellence, including 5 guestrooms, parlors, library, billiard room, and gorgeous formal dining room. An ideal, walk-to-town location, incomparable antique furnishings, and gracious surroundings provide guests with the very finest bed and breakfast experience. Relax on the large, covered front porch surrounded by gardens and fountain; enjoy a game of pool in the billiard room, read a good book in the library, play the grand piano in the foyer, or simply enjoy the peaceful, romantic fireplace in a lovely guestroom. Guests at Galena's Steamboat House will find an inn filled with history and charm. Come enjoy this fine home which once hosted famous guests such as General Ulysses S. Grant and Susan B. Anthony. The mansion has been accurately restored and renovated, and is virtually a destination in itself. An outstanding 3-course breakfast is served daily. Wine and cheese are served informally in the main parlor on weekends. Weekdays, enjoy a homemade dessert treat in the upstairs parlor.
All guestrooms have a fireplace, private bath, cable TV, DVD/VCR, and queen size bed. Rooms are furnished with heirloom antiques, including historic photographs, certificates and original artwork. Guest comfort is first and foremost at the Steamboat, with crisp bed linens and spotless rooms.
