The Indian Lakes Resort is less than 20 miles west of Chicago in the suburb of Bloomingdale, Illinois, which offers 260 acres of dramatic architecture and two, 18- hole golf courses. Eight miles away, guests will find the 500-acre Cantigny Park, which features museums, 15 acres of manicured gardens, nature paths, picnic areas, art shows, gardening classes and military re-enactments.
Guests of the Indian Lakes Resort are welcomed to a six-story atrium lobby with a faux cave that houses the lobby bar. After check-in, guests can retire to the Spa Vargas for pampering, or exercise in a state-of-the- art fitness facility. Indian Lakes Resort also offers indoor and outdoor pools, a fully-staffed and 24-hour self-serve business centers.
Dining and beverage services are rampant at this hotel. Six food- and-beverage outlets are found alongside pool areas and also overlooking the golf courses. The Sedona Grill dishes up signature American fare and an all-you-can-eat prime-rib dinner is available on Wednesdays.
Spacious guestrooms with stucco ceilings and exposed beams offer views of the golf course or atrium. All rooms include complimentary high-speed Internet access, work desks, executive chairs and armchairs with ottomans. Driving directions from O'Hare International Airport:
Head east on I-190.
Take I-294 south to I-290 west.
Take the Lake St/I-355/US-20 exit toward Joliet (exit #7).
Follow the signs to Lake St.
Turn right on Lake St and continue to Bloomingdale Rd.
Turn Left on Bloomingdale Rd.
Turn right on Schick Rd and proceed to Indian Lakes on the left.
Chicago Midway Airport (MDW):
Approximate driving time is 35 minutes and distance is 25 miles.
Driving directions from Chicago Midway Airport:
Head north on SR-50/S Cicero Ave.
Continue to I-55 south.
Take I-55 south to I-355 north (tollway).
Exit at Lake St.
Turn left on Lake St and proceed three miles to Bloomingdale Rd.
Turn left onto Bloomingdale Rd and then right onto Schick Rd.
Proceed to Indian Lakes on the left.
Taxis, limo service, and rental cars are the best ways to reach the hotel. The hotel offers a preferred taxi service ($26-$35 from O'Hare; more than $36 from Midway). Preferred limo service is also available through the hotel; from O'Hare, the flat fee is $18 per person; from Midway, the fee is $44 for the first person and $7 for each additional person. Getting around: Shops and restaurants are located within walking distance of the hotel. For longer distances, rental cars and taxis provide the most convenient means of transportation. Rental cars are available online.
For visitors going into downtown Chicago, the hotel can arrange for transportation to the Metra station. From there, the train to downtown costs less than $5. Fee(s) subject to change without notice. Driving into downtown Chicago is not recommended due to heavy traffic and difficult parking. |
