<b>Location.</b> Located on the southern end of Amelia Island, Fla., the Amelia Island Plantation is directly across from the St. Mary's River and adjacent to the historic city of Fernandina, Fla. The resort overlooks the azure blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Intracoastal Waterway to the west, and boasts three-and-one-half miles of beachfront.<br><b>Hotel Features.</b> Four 18-hole championship golf courses, including the Royal Amelia Golf Course three miles from the resort entrance, wind throughout the resort. Complimentary shuttle service to Royal Amelia is provided. Scattered throughout the property are 23 pools, 23 clay tennis courts, some with bleacher seating, and a fully staffed health and fitness center with an indoor lap pool. A beauty salon and luxury spa pamper visitors in a 25-room facility. A nature center with groomed trails offers hiking, biking, kayaking and guided Segway tours. Clothing, golf and specialty shops can be found in a small shopping village at the entrance of the resort, and seven sumptuous restaurants are among the many amenities offered at Amelia Island Plantation. Conference facilities feature more than 49,000 square-feet of versatile function space to accommodate banquets, parties and conferences of all sizes. The Beach Club is home to the resort's two large outdoor pools, children's pool, and hot tub.<br><br> <b>Guestrooms.</b> The hotel rooms and villas of Amelia Island Plantation provide guests with the finest furnishings, in addition to fully equipped kitchens, dining areas, spacious living rooms, a washer and dryer. All units have cable television and private balconies or patios.
