The Avon Old Farms Hotel is an elegant country hotel set at the base of Avon Mountain in the historic, scenic Farmington River Valley surrounded by twenty acres of manicured grounds, brick walkways and colorful flower beds. The warmth and charm of the hotel radiates throughout the guest rooms and open areas, all tastefully decorated with brass chandeliers, fine furnishings and bouquets of fresh flowers. More than four hundred watercolors of Farmington Valley scenes painted by local artists complement the hotel's decor. The award winning Seasons Restaurant, located within the hotel features taste tempting menus created by chef Charles Williams. The menus change quarterly, incorporating the freshest ingredients of each season. Guests enjoy dining in the Garden Room overlooking Talcott Mountain Stream and identifying the many lovely birds that inhabit the area. Local artists provide the artwork for the Restaurant. The artwork changes monthly and is available for sale. At Seasons, every time you visit is a new dining experience.
The Avon Old Farms Hotel's 155 spacious, attractive guest rooms were designed and appointed to enhance the comfort of each guest. Each room is furnished with two or four poster beds, complimentary wireless high-speed Internet access, bottled water, fresh flowers and coffee makers. Luxurious "Frette" linens, down comforters and featherbeds outfit each room. All guests have usage of a lovely, outdoor pool with snack bar, exercise rooms and sauna, and complimentary parking. The room rates also include complimentary the gourmet coffee bar served in the hotel lobby. Guests may help themselves to freshly brewed regular and decaffeinated coffee, herbal teas, hot chocolate, fresh whole fruit and delicious muffins and pastries each morning. Guests will also find a basket of red delicious apples at our front desk. Your choice of morning newspaper will be delivered right to your guest room each morning. Outside their room, guest will find a golf course across the street, and the hotel is just minutes from fishing, canoeing, tubing, shopping, museums and antiquing.
