Nestled in the lush native landscape embracing the Frying Pan River, Lodge at River's Edge has been welcoming guests to the Basalt, Colo. area since 1990. Situated on two private riverfront acres, dominated by the snow-capped majesty of Mt. Sopris in the distance, the lodge is only two blocks from the downtown district of charming Basalt. Guests will find themselves only minutes away from restaurants, unique shops, and art galleries.<br> While staying at the Lodge at River's Edge, guests will enjoy a delicious, hearty breakfast on the deck or in the sun-filled dining room, both of which overlook the Frying Pan River. The Lodge living and dining rooms share a 17-foot high rock fireplace, where guests can warm their hands. The library has cable television, Internet access and a guest phone. A shady deck surrounds the inn, expanding on the riverfront to accommodate a hot tub available to guests year-round.<br><br> The accommodations at the lodge are the perfect escape. The 100-year-old cabin is newly restored and includes a fully equipped kitchen, cable television, telephone and wood stove. Guests can relax by the river in their own private sitting area just outside the cabin's front door. The standard room comes complete with a view of the Frying Pan River, comfortable bed with down comforter, luxurious linens and featherbed, refrigerator, wireless Internet access and private bath.<br><br> Whether guests come for skiing or exploration, the Lodge at River's Edge provides a perfect place for relaxation with its riverside hot tub, wonderful views of the mountians and comfortable rooms.

600 Frying Pan Road, Basalt, Colo.<br> From Aspen/Pitkin County Airport:<br> Take Interstate 70 to Glenwood Springs.<br> Take Hwy 82 East for 22 miles to Basalt.<br> Take a left at the stop light at the Basalt Business Exit (Two Rivers Road).<br> Proceed to the stop sign at Midland Avenue.<br> Take a left turn at Midland Avenue and proceed through town.<br> The lodge is the first driveway on the right after the barber shop.<br> Look for the sign at the top of the drive. |
