This beautiful historic Mayfield House is located in downtown Tahoe City and offers all the comforts of home and more. The house has six cozy rooms, a tasty full breakfast served every morning, and comfortable mountain décor that will make guests content and blissful. Guests can enjoy the afternoon tea that is served while mingling in the common sitting area or library or they can read the newspaper that comes on Sundays. At night time, guests can cozy up to the fireplace or take a stroll through the gardens for some fresh air. Guests can play games in the game room with other guests to create a memory of laughter and fun times. Close by, there is a dry cleaning service and a laundry facility to take care of those dirty garments. Also take advantage of the business services and free local calls the house offers. A shuttle service is offered to Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadow and tours are available to different place throughout the town.
Each of the six rooms has its own unique design and style with special touches. All come with a heaping helping of hospitality which includes an alarm clock radio, a hair dryer, high-speed internet access, and smoke detectors. Guests can cozy up in their fluffy bathrobes while listening to music on the CD player/stereo. All rooms have a turn down service. | Area Attractions
There is plenty to do around the Lake Tahoe region. Do some hiking, biking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, downhill skiing, snow boarding, and water sports such as kayaking and rafting. Wave runners, water skis, and boats are available for rent. Also try some horseback riding, golfing, fishing, and tennis. Guests can also do some shopping at many stores, sightseeing of historic sites, dining at fine restaurants, and touring of many places. Stroll through the city for enjoyment or just laze around the house on a hot summer day. Guests are just a hop and a skip away from the water where they can read a book or just lay on the beach catching some rays. The road the house is on borders the Tahoe National Forest and is ideal for many activities. They are near everything Tahoe has to offer yet are they quietly reside on level ground in the Sierra Nevadas. |

236 Grove Street, Tahoe City, CA - From Reno Airport: Fast Route (45-60 minutes) Take 395 North to 80 West past 89 North to 89 South at Truckee, 13 miles to Tahoe City. Stay straight through stoplight - the only stoplight in town - and at the intersection of 89-28, stay on 28/North Lake Blvd, take the first left onto Grove Street, and the Mayfield House is the second house on the right. For the scenic Route (70-90 minutes) take 395 South to Mount Rose Hwy/431 (great lake views) West to 28 West to Tahoe City, past Safeway and then make a right on Grove Street, and the Mayfield house in the second house on the right. |
