<b>Location.</b> The Welk Resort San Diego is located on 600 tree-lined acres in a picturesque valley far from the traffic and crowds of San Diego. The resort is positioned six miles from downtown Escondido in the North County Canyons, 20 miles inland from area beaches, and within a 40 mile radius of downtown San Diego and the San Diego Zoo. <br><b>Hotel Features.</b> This scenic resort features outstanding property amenities, such as two 18-hole golf courses, seven spas, and a unique on-site theater that features Broadway-style productions. A museum is housed in the resort as a tribute to its founder and namesake, Laurence Welk. Children will be in good company in the five pools which are teeming with playful youngsters. The water park features a 140- foot waterslide, interactive playground and a club house, all of which are complimentary to resort guests. On-site dining is offered at Mr. W's Restaurant and Lounge where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served, daily. <br><br><b>Guestrooms.</b> One- and two-bedroom villas feature living and dining areas. Full kitchens have refrigerators, microwave ovens, two-burner stoves, dishwashers, and coffeemakers with complimentary coffee. Dishes, utensils and cookware are provided.
