Location. The Monrongo Casino Resort Spa personifies the gracious surroundings for which Palm Springs, Calif., is lauded. Located west of the city, this spectacular resort stands one-half mile from Premium and Desert Hill Outlet Malls. The resort provides complimentary airport transportation to and from Palm Springs International Airport, which is 15 miles from the resort.
Hotel Features. Guests' pleasures begin at the Oasis Pool and Water Park that features an outdoor pool bordered by a soft, sandy beach. A multi-tiered spa tub, waterslide and winding river provide relaxation and recreation, while the 128,000-square-foot casino vibrates with gaming action. Named for the fragrant white sage that grows in abundance on the Morongo Indian Reservation, Sage The Spa at Morongo offers revitalizing treatments such as cleansing European facials, massage modalities such as prenatal and shiatsu, body wraps that include lavender and desert apricot, and scrubs that feature use of date and sage. Guests are greeted with many tempting dining options, such as Potrero Canyon Buffet that specializes in international gourmet delicacies prepared by tableside chefs. On- site lounges include Mystique, where guests may dance to the rhythms of live bands in a chic and intimate atmosphere. DJs spin Top 40 and pop dance music at the 360 Ultra Lounge where the doors open to reveal a 360 degree view of the valley.
Guestrooms. This luxury resort welcomes guests with 310 deluxe rooms and suites, many with outstanding mountain and canyon vistas, and six secluded casitas with private lounging pools. Accommodations reflect the soothing tones of the surrounding desert. Comforts include European linens and down- filled duvets that enfold plush mattresses. Plasma-screen televisions and minibars add to the guestrooms' distinctive amenities.
Expert Tip. Guests may self administer in-room spa treatments where guestrooms feature oversized showers with ledge seats. Following active days, warming jets of spray soothe away cares.
