Nestled in Oak Creek Canyon, along the lush banks of Oak Creek, the Briar Patch Inn invites you to nurture your relationship with nature. At the base of the surrounding red rock mountains, the spring-fed waters of Oak Creek create a healing, magical oasis - the perfect setting for the Briar Patch. A quiet blending of nine acres, 17 cottages and a large meetinghouse, majestic canyon oaks, dappled sunlight, squirrels, sheep, and a caring staff await you. Healthy breakfasts of fresh home-baked breads, quiche and muffins, crunchy granola, yogurt, fresh fruits, juices, coffee and herbal teas can be enjoyed by the fireside, in the lounge, on a tray at your cottage, or best of all, at the creekside patio. At selected times of the year, small workshops in hiking, yoga, tai chi, music appreciation, and self healing are offered. Guests can also request a massage either in a cottage or in the open-air creek-side gazebo. Magnificent views of Sedona's Red Rock country and the forests and canyons of Mingus Mountain await hikers. From Pheonix Sky Harbor International Airport: <br> Depart the airport onto East Sky Harbor Boulevard. Stay straight to go onto I-10 West and continue for five miles. Merge onto I-17 North via Exit 143A toward Flagstaff and continue for approximately 99 miles. Take the AZ-179 exit, Exit 298, toward Sedona/Oak Creek Canyon. Turn left onto AZ-179/NF 618. Continue to follow AZ-179 for 14.5 miles. Turn right onto AZ-89 ALT/SI Birch Highway and continue for 8/10 mile to the property. |
