<b>Location.</b> The Sheraton Desert Oasis Vacation Villas, located in Scottsdale, Ariz., is a Mediterranean-style property that exists in harmony with the arid Sonoran Desert. These inviting condo villas stand one block from Scottsdale Players Tournament Club, three miles from Kierland Commons and 23 miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. <br><b>Hotel Features.</b> In keeping with southwestern architectural style, the hotel lobby features a lodgepole pine ceiling, gently splashing fountain and overstuffed, tooled leather sofas. The extensive grounds boast expansive sun decks and a 4,500 square-foot pool accented by a spa grotto that accommodates 25 people. The massive pool attracts a lively crowd, but a second, smaller outdoor pool offers the opportunity to explore more peaceful settings. A schedule of daily activities includes water aerobics, water volleyball and children's crafts. Nightly events staged around the pools include a Mexican buffet, cowboy barbeque and fish fries. The resort offers a once-weekly grill-out party and a weekly wine-tasting evening. On-site dining is provided at the casual Oasis Grille that offers poolside service. <br><br><b>Guestrooms.</b> The Sheraton Desert Oasis Vacation Villas offers 300 villas in two- and three- story buildings with individualized floor plans that allow more privacy. Patios and balconies are furnished and have two entrances, while bedrooms may be closed off from the seating areas. Villas contain washers, dryers, entertainment centers, fully equipped kitchenettes and jetted tubs. Beds are custom-designed with extra-thick, plush-top mattresses, dressed with three sheets, fleece blankets, plump duvets in rich colors and goose down/feather pillows. <br><br><b>Expert Tip.</b> Once weekly, a story-telling session is held for both adults and children that brings the history of the West to life with colorful tales of adventure.
