Aawesome Retreat is the perfect place for an Alaska holiday or extendend stay for work or school. Management will cheerfully discuss longer arrangements, or addiontional usuage of facility for special events, guests may arrange, host evening or daytime get togethers with family or coworkers for business or pleasure. The Vortex lounge is a wonderful space for relaxing and dining, located 1400 E. overlooking Anchorage, gorgeous panoramic views adn dazzling city lights. Guests kitchen with continental plus breakfast food for personalized scheduling. The kitchen is co-op style 24 hours so guests may cook additional meals anytime. Custom painted heated floors, spacious suites, sultry original art decor and large windows create a feeling of being outdoors, all designed to accentuate the vast enviromental experience. Year round enjoyment of Alaska's ever changing sky, peaceful snow or summer midnight sunning, is easily viewed from inside or the many decks, including suspended decks from each suite or the beautiful nature reserve and pond surrounding the inn. Wildlife is abundant in the region, however elusive, many fortunate observant guests see moose from decks, eagles, many bird varieties, porcupines, and occasional brown or black bear. We keep a free roam dog to warn about most bears. For brief or longer stays, pets with reservations are welcome in specified areas. Winter in Anchorage offers majestic fresh snow, ideal for cross-country skiing, snow angels, snowshoe hiking, and snow boarding.
All rooms are exquisitely decorated with the guests in mind. All rooms come with air-conditioning, alarm clock radio, cable TV with VCR, CD player, desk, telephone, hair dryer, high speed Internet access, shower massage, and smoke detectors. Guests can watch the stars from their own balcony/patio. They can curl up in their fluffy bathrobes and settle in for the night or they can simply relax and make food in the kitchen that is open to guests.<br><br> **This property requires a two-night minimum stay for arrivals between 5/28/05-9/30/05. 16528 Kings Way Road, Anchorage, AK - From Anchorage International Airport: Depart airport on International Airport Road and go approx. two miles to Minnesota Bypass and make a right turn, heading south. Curve with road toward Mountain. Cross Seward to New Seward on ramp R to Seward South. Take New Seward to Rabbit Creek Road and exit left. Go uphill on Rabbit Creek Road for four miles. Make a right on Clarks Road and then make a right turn on Kings Way. Pass mailboxes and drive 1.1 miles to Aawesome Retreat on right side with two sprial silver poles marking downhill driveway. Parking is free. |
