Perched on a private section of Dorado Beach, Puerto Rico's kid-friendly Hyatt Hacienda Del Mar condominium resort features two 18-hole championship golf courses designed by famous course architect Robert Trent Jones, Sr. Guests can enjoy the 776-foot freshwater river pool with 14 waterfalls, grottos, spa tub, slides, walkways and bridges. Adventure seekers are just a one-half hour from Camuy Caves, the Western Hemisphere's largest subterranean cave system; Bacardi Rum Factory; and Arrecibo Observatory, one of the world's largest such facilities.
The Hyatt Hacienda Del Mar has an on- site casino, an outdoor pool, a poolside bar and a children's pool. Privileges at two Jones-designed courses near the resort are also offered to guests. Water sport enthusiasts can choose from outdoor activities which include windsurfing, Jet Skiing, snorkeling, kayaking, catamaran, sailing and deep-sea fishing. The eight on-site tennis courts, jogging and biking trails round out the outdoor activities offered by this Hyatt. The resort has a full-service health spa. Camp Hyatt is available for supervised children's activities, and parents can arrange babysitting services.
On-site dining options include Johnny Rocket's, a 50's-style diner, features hamburgers, sandwiches, salads and shakes which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Zen Gardens at the Hyatt Regency Cerromar Beach, serves Asian cuisine ranging from sushi to sashimi.
The Puerto Rico resort features 82 air-conditioned, residential- style guest units with balconies, full kitchens, cable/satellite TV, premium channels, VCRs, CD players, ceiling fans, separate living/bedroom areas, washers and dryers, and in-room safes. Master suites feature whirlpool spas.

Driving Directions
From Luis Munoz International Airport:
Approximate driving time is 45 minutes and distance is 22 miles.
Follow signs to Bayamón Route #22, on #22 heading towards Arecibo; you will pass through two tollbooth stations (the 1st one is free and the 2nd one costs 70[). After the 2nd tollbooth, exit to your right at the 3rd exit onto Route #693 - the signs read Dorado Hyatt. At the light,make a left. Continue on this road (#693) bearing left until it turns into #6693. Then the road will curve to the right and you'll come to another traffic light (Dorado Del Mar Shopping Center entrance directly ahead - you should see a Western Auto. Turn left at this light. Follow this road, bearing left as you pass a Gulf gas station. Stay on this road (you're backon Route #693). Approximately 2 miles later is Hyatt Dorado Beach Hotel on your right. The security guard will direct you to the Hyatt Hacienda del MarResort.
Dorado Transport provides transportation from Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport from 11 AM - 10 PM. The per person cost, one way, is approximately $25.00, with a minimum of 3 passengers. |
