The Ceiba del Mar Spa Resort is situated on a stretch of white sandy beaches, 20 minutes south of the International Cancun Airport and 20 minutes north of Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The hotel is surrounded by the Caribbean ocean and jungle, and lies next to the quaint fishing village of Puerto Morelos in the center of the Mayan Riviera.
The Ceiba del Mar Spa Resort serves complimentary continental breakfasts each morning and features a gift shop, video library and laundry and concierge services. Automobile service is available with advanced arrangements.
The European-style, 8,611-square-foot spa features a fitness center, yoga classes, Swiss showers, a sauna, a steam bath and jetted tubs in a contemporary, Mexican setting. Massage rooms have private showers and tranquil gardens. Audio-visual and catering services are available for the Ceiba del Mar's meeting and banquet rooms. Guests can dine at Xtabay for breakfasts and à la carte dinners. The Arrecife specializes in Mexican cuisine, while the Yache Beach Palapa features seafood cuisine with touches of Asian flavors. Room services are available 24-hour a day.
The Ceiba del Mar Spa Resort's 120 guestrooms and six suites features one king-size or two double beds, bathrobes, ceiling fans, minibars, VCRs and cable TVs. Guestrooms are quite spacious with views of the ocean, sometimes through swaying palm trees. Outdoors, private terraces have hammocks, tables and chairs. Indoors, seating areas invite guests to relax and read a good book. Tastefully appointed furnishings reflect local styles. Armoires and chests of drawers have been fashioned from tzalan, a local Mexican hardwood. Mexican tiles woven into intricate designs adorn the headboards of the king or two double beds. Each guestroom has a seating area for reading and lounging. Junior Suites have open-style baths with direct views of the sea from the soaking tubs.
