Property Info
Location. Renovated in 2005, the Riu Yucatan All Inclusive in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, is located 55 kilometers from Cancun International Airport. With its hacienda-style architecture, this beachfront property is surrounded by over 43,000 square yards of fertile gardens. Guests are one kilometer from Playacar Golf Course and six kilometers from Xcatet Park. The city's main section, known as the Quinta Avenida, or Fifth Avenue, is lined with boutique hotels, shops and restaurants and can be found three kilometers away.
Hotel Features.The Riu Yucatan houses two restaurants and bars, including the Asian-inspired Shanghai, along with La Hacienda. Guests can sip cocktails at La Cantina bar or enjoy margaritas by the poolside bar. The pool also contains a children's section, and guests can make use of the on-site fitness center and Internet area (fees apply) as well.
Windsurfing, catamaran, kayaking and snorkeling equipment is all available to all-inclusive guests. Live music and shows are also put on each night at the resort.
Guestrooms. The Riu Yucatan contains 507 guestrooms and 36 suites that offer satellite television, in-room safes, complimentary toiletries, minibars and liquor dispensers.
Expert Tip."Mexican Street" is located next door to the resort and features a gym, medical center, hairdressers, shopping and popular discos at both the Riu Yucatan and Riu Tequila.
