Flanked by trees, gardens and the cliffs of La Quebrada, the El Mirador Acapulco in Acapulco, Mexico, opened in 1933 as the city's first opulent hotel. Overlooking the Pacific Ocean on one side and the bay of Santa Lucia on the other, the hotel offers great views of the famous La Quebrada cliff divers who dive from 130 feet into turquoise-blue waters.
