The Hotel Le Meridien Ile Maurice Modern is a smart resort hotel set on an 800 metre sandy beach in Pointe Aux Piments bay, situated on the North West coast of Mauritius. The 72 guestrooms have contemporary decor in red, burgundy and white with dark mahogany furniture and French windows leading to patios. All are equipped with climate control, ceiling fans, satellite television, Internet connections and safes. Bathrooms have designer toiletries, bathrobes, telephones and hair dryers. guestrooms have minibars and coffee and tea making facilities.
Guests can enjoy a swim in the outdoor pool, which is directly beside the sandy beach. At the Asian Health Spa massage and beauty treatments are on offer, and guests can relax in the sauna, steam room, plunge pool or jetted tub. The Spa also has an aerobic studio and gym. The 180 Degrees Restaurant has an open kitchen and serves a fusion of European and Asian cuisine. At Shells beach restaurant guests can enjoy Mauritian cuisine and seafood dishes from an à la carte menu. At La Faya, modern Mauritian and European cuisine is on offer, accompanied by live shows and late night entertainment. A range of beach and water sports are available including volleyball, beach football, water polo, water-skiing, sailing, windsurfing, snorkelling, kayaking, and diving. There are also two floodlit tennis courts. The Penguin Children's Club offers supervised activities for children aged four to twelve including games, videos, beach activities and picnics. The Port Louis Bazaar and the Caudan Water Front are both 20 kilometres from the hotel. Mauritius Airport is 60 kilometres away, an approximate driving time of 60 minutes.
