The Tarisa Resort is a resort hotel set in tropical gardens between beach and lagoon in the north west of Mauritius, five kilometres from Grand Bay, one of the island's main tourist villages. This two-floor hotel features 75 air-conditioned guestrooms, all of which are at least 37 square metres in size and open onto balconies facing onto the pool, sea or gardens. Wooden furniture is painted with ivory patterns and inside sitting areas feature rattan chairs and tables. All rooms are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, minibars, safes, satellite television and wireless Internet. Bathrooms come with showers or tubs and hair dryers.
There are two restaurants: one serving Mauritian dishes by the pool and the other specialising in spiced North Indian food. Guests can enjoy a drink at the Citrus Bar, an expansive open bar facing the pool area and the beach, serving drinks, cocktails and snacks; there are also live music and other entertainments held on site each evening. Further relaxation comes in the forms of onsite massage treatments and a hairdressing salon. Guests can go for a cooling dip in the outdoor pool and soak in the jetted tub, or work out at the gym and unwind in the sauna and hammam; there is a separate swimming pool for kids. Water sports available on site include windsurfing, pedal boating, kayaking, snorkelling, scuba diving, deep sea fishing and parasailing. The hotel also organises glass- bottomed boat and dives at a sunken submarine 500 metres away. The hotel is 25 kilometres from the capital city, Port Louis, and 70 kilometres from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport.
