The Gold Beach Hotel is a modern whitewashed, beachfront resort, located in the west coast village of Flic en Flac, 10 kilometres from Port Louis. The hotel's 31 air- conditioned guestrooms have simple decor with wood floors and traditional wood furnishings. All offer balconies with beach or gardens views, satellite television, direct-dial phones, safes and Internet access (surcharge). Bathrooms have makeup mirrors and hair dryers.
The hotel's main restaurant offers a variety of international cuisine including European, Italian, Chinese and Indian. The restaurant faces the ocean and also has an outdoor terrace overlooking the pool. Drinks and cocktails are available at the bar, and there is a fitness centre which includes a gym and sauna. Guests can swim in the outdoor swimming pool, which is illuminated in the evening, and relax on the sunloungers during the day. Live entertainment is held three times a week and sunset cruises can be taken, which include dinner and drinks. The 24-hour front desk can arrange such entertainment and other bookings, while water sports including motor boating, snorkelling and scuba diving are available on the beach. Day-trips can be organized to Port Louis, 10 kilometres from the hotel, which has beaches of its own, as well as other places of interest such as the Natural History Museum. Souillac, 15 kilometres from the hotel, is a place of natural beauty, and the Seven Coloured Earth at Chamarel, 20 kilometres away, is a well known geological curiosity that is worth a visit. Mauritius Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport is 43 kilometres (27 miles) from the hotel, a 60 minute drive.

| Driving Directions
Taxis and limousine are the recommended means of getting to the hotel. Buses also run every 30-60 minutes to Port Louis from the airport. Buses reach almost every part of the island; metered taxis are also readily available and recognisable by their white registration plates with black figures. |
