Located in South Male' 12 kilometres from the capital city, the Laguna Maldives resort a tranquil tropical setting situated among groves of coconut palms floating in the dreamy blue water of its private lagoon. The resort features 132 stylish guestrooms, suites and bungalows, all of which include ceiling fans, climate control, coffee/tea makers, direct-dial phones, Internet connections, refrigerators and patios.
The resort includes a Spa offering beauty treatments and a steam plunge pool, while the free-forming pool with shaded spa tub and a sun deck offer stunning views of the ocean, making it an idyllic setting to while away the days. Guests can enjoy a variety of meals in the resort's five restaurants, including Summerfield's, serving Continental and Asian dishes in a large open-plan space with wood design and furnishings. While guests have access to three bars including the Sunset Bar, set in a small cabana with seating on a large deck overlooking the lagoon and island beaches. While the beach resort provides visitors with a plethora of sports including a gym, table tennis facilities and floodlit tennis court, located in the centre of the island next to the spa.
The lagoon which surrounds the island is ideal for snorkelling, canoeing and windsurfing. Alternatively guests can relax on board a catamaran, while resort staff sail to some of the most beautiful reefs in the area. The dive centre is located in a modern, fully equipped building on the arrival pier, with dives to caves, reefs, canyons and shark points. The Maldives high-rise city of Male' is one of the smallest capitals in the world, and houses museum, monuments, the local bazaar and fish market, (12 kilometres), while other islands in the Lagoon, including Bulifushi island lie nearby, (one kilometre). Male' International Airport is approximately 30 minutes and 12 kilometres away.
