The Garden House Hotel is a former 16th-century fisherman's house that was completely renovated and reopened as a hotel in 2006, and is located in the historical district of the city, 150 metres from the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace. The 16 guestrooms feature simple decor with Ottoman upholstery, set against dark wooden floors and bright white walls. All are equipped with air conditioning, direct-dial phones, cable/satellite television, wireless Internet access, minibars, safes, complimentary newspapers and bathrooms with complimentary toiletries.

Taxis are readily available from the Arrivals terminal and cost approximately 20 EUR to the hotel. Alternatively, bus and tram services run from the airport to Aksaray station. Istanbul has an extensive public transport service, which includes trams, buses, metro trains and boats. The historical centre can be easily explored on foot. |
