Driving Directions
A Havas bus runs from the airport into the centre of the city via the Turkish Airlines offices near the hotel. The bus leaves the airport every 30 minutes and costs approx USD 7. A train operates every hour between the airport and Alsancak Gari in the city. Taxis are available at the airport (typical fare to the hotel USD 35). Fares increase between midnight and 6 AM. The best way to get around Izmir is on foot or by taxi. Municipal buses to and from Alcansak run regularly from the major bus hub at Konak. Public ferries cross Izmir Bay between Konak and the busy residential shopping area of Karsiyaka. A single-line metro system connects Konak with Basmane station and Bornova.
Driving directions: From the airport turn right onto Highway Gaziemir-Izmir. After 15 kilometres, exit to Konak on the right. Drive 2.5 kilometres to Gaziosmanpasa Boulevard and turn right at the traffic lights. The hotel is 100 metres away on the right. |
